Cecilware Corporation

Vice President of Marketing & Strategic Development

ERI was retained by Heritage Partners, a leading Boston based Private Equity firm specializing in private, family owned businesses, to add senior management "bench strength" and Marketing expertise to one of its portfolio companies, Cecilware Corporation. Cecilware is a 91 year-old company with $40 M in sales located in Astoria, NY that manufactures and sells foodservice equipment products, namely commercial and industrial non-carbonated beverage dispensers and countertop cookware.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the position of Vice President of Marketing & Strategic Development is responsible for creating and implementing the company's overall strategic plan, determining its direction and future product lines and then increasing its profitable growth.

The search focus was on finding an individual with 10 + years of Strategic Planning and Marketing experience within the Food/Food Service equipment industry, or related industrial/commercial industries. In addition, a proven record of new product development, adding new products and services through previously untapped channels, as well as adapting existing products to create new revenue, was a crucial prerequisite. The focus of the search was narrowed further for, in an effort to avoid relocation, our charge was to find a candidate with the requisite experience in the New York/Metro area.

The successful candidate is David Sank, who has a strong background in consumer research and analysis, as well as in developing new products and strategic alliances for food industry leader, Kraft/Nabisco Brands.

Prior to joining Cecilware, Mr. Sank served as Director of Marketing for a new initiative to move Nabisco into the C-store market, developing a three-year strategic plan for the Nabisco C-store business, which generated a strong growth rate in year one. Further, he recognized the importance of Strategic Alliances and secured relationships with leading companies such as Coke, 7-Eleven, Exxon and Mobil.

Previously Mr. Sank was the Marketing Manager for the $170 million Home Cookin' brand for Campbell Soup, receiving their "Top Gun" marketing award.

Mr. Sank's demonstrated track record in both sales and organic growth provides Cecilware with a proven Marketing executive to develop new markets and increase revenue, as well as to increase overall management depth and bench strength.

Mr. Sank holds a BS degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard University.
